Work Contract
You'll work to shift testing left with developers, product, and design from the moment a story is shaped, help teams move away from a top-heavy, E2E-dependent suite toward a balanced testing model, and hold engineering teams accountable for the coverage they own. You'll build and scale the automation framework, but just as importantly you'll influence where tests live - pushing coverage down into unit, component, and contract layers so that the E2E suite stays small, fast, and trustworthy. You'll also use AI-augmented tooling to accelerate test design, triage, and automation development, and you'll bring ideas for how quality engineering should evolve across a distributed, multi-team environment.
• 5+ years of professional QA / quality engineering experience, with strong depth in both manual and automation testing.
• Strong understanding of QA principles, testing methodologies, and QA processes across the SDLC/STLC.
• Strong experience in test case design and testing native Android and iOS mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience with Appium and Cucumber; Java strongly preferred (our stack is Appium + Java + Cucumber + BrowserStack).
• Experience in integration testing and API automation, with the ability to design, develop, and maintain automated integration test suites.
• Experience designing, maintaining, and scaling automation frameworks - not just writing tests inside someone else's framework.
• Demonstrated judgment about test placement: knowing what belongs where being able to argue for it.
• Track record of influencing engineering teams toward automation by driving adoption, setting standards, and holding others accountable without formal authority.
• Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code) to improve QA productivity, test design, and automation development.
• Ability to bring innovative ideas that improve quality, accelerate testing, and increase automation coverage.
• Good working knowledge of Jira.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including working effectively with distributed and vendor teams.
Desirable
• Experience with contract testing and service virtualization / API mocking (e.g. Microcks).
• Experience with performance, accessibility, or security testing for mobile applications.
• Experience testing applications backed by a BFF or microservices architecture.
• Experience with feature flags, progressive rollouts, and testing in production-like conditions.
• Familiarity with mobile release processes, app store submission, and staged rollouts.
• Experience with observability tooling and using logs, traces, and crash analytics to investigate defects.
• Experience with headless CMS or content-driven applications.
We are a fully remote company, but we value in-person connections. We host annual trips for teams to collaborate and bond, and some teams organize additional meetups throughout the year to work together.
As long as you participate in team and client meetings, events, and deliveries, you can choose your work hours. Apart from those responsibilities, you choose how to distribute the remaining hours of your day. Just make sure you're communicating frequently and clearly with your team members!
We have performance improvement plans, feedback and follow-up sessions, social gatherings (online and offline), and laid-back events to keep our teams engaged and united.
Our contracts are based on Legal Person agreements (PJ in Brazil). Let us know if you need more details about this contract model.
